Summary:
Assist with administrative tasks including preparing correspondence, maintaining records, maintaining calendars, monitoring office inventory, ordering supplies when necessary and completing various assignments as needed.
This position may be the first point of contact for the department, and is tasked with ensuring that information flows accurately, efficiently and effectively while maintaining appropriate confidentiality.
Duties may include:
Managing records and documents Performing general administrative support tasks such as proofreading and receiving and distributing mail; may handle cash Greeting visitors, callers and/or email inquiries, determining nature and purpose and directing them to specific destinations/individuals/information Other duties as assigned Minimum
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Organizing tasks to meet deadlines Participating in teams to accomplish shared goals Using computer software and applications for word processing, email, and internet searches Preferred
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree.
One year of experience with office support functions including word processing, filing, composing a variety of documents, receptionist duties, gathering and compiling data, and balancing and coordinating a workload for multiple projects.
Experience working with a variety of people.
Experience completing assignments with minimal supervision.
Experience with organizational skills.
Experience working in Extension.
Ability to give attention to detail and possess good decision making skills.
Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
Multi-tasker and flexible.
Ability to maintain confidentiality, perform detailed work, and be comfortable working independently.
Experience utilizing programs such as Microsoft Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
