Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the service department - Ensure efficient and timely completion of all service requests - Provide exceptional customer service and address customer concerns or complaints - Schedule and assign work orders to service technicians - Monitor technician performance and provide coaching or training as needed - Maintain accurate records of service activities, including labor hours and parts used - Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction - Develop and implement strategies to increase service department productivity and profitability Skills:
- Strong knowledge of automotive/RV repair and maintenance procedures - Proficient in estimating repair and maintenance - Ability to diagnose mechanical issues and recommend appropriate repairs - Experience in service writing and creating accurate repair estimates - Familiarity with a repair processes is a plus - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Strong leadership abilities and the ability to motivate a team Note:
This is a working service manager position, side by side with their service writers and the technicians.
This is not an office job.
