Summary:
The contribution of a Scribe-X medical scribe is crucial in the patient care team.
They work hand-in-hand with healthcare providers across several specialties to document patient encounters in real-time, catering to patients from varying socio-economic backgrounds to improve access to care for those who need it most.
All scribes undergo rigorous medical scribe training to ensure they are fully prepared to support their designated provider(s).
All scribes gain the experience, mentorship, and support needed to become expert medical scribes to further their healthcare career.
Essential Duties:
Perform chart preparation per clinic protocolAccompany the provider in all scheduled patient visitsDocument the patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan, as performed by the providerRemind provider of relevant quality metrics when appropriate, documenting to support quality metricsEnter laboratory and radiographic studies, as ordered by the providerEnter medication orders, as dictated by the providerDocument and print instructions for the patientReview completed charts with the provider between patients or after the shiftUpdate provider preference and clinic preference documents as necessaryRequirements:
Typing speed of at least 60
WPMAvailable to work 30-40 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 7:
30 am-6 pm PST)Must have a HIPAA-compliant workspace to maintain the privacy of sensitive patient informationFluent in the English language with excellent writing and speaking skillsEducation/
Experience:
Bachelor's Degree or 1-2 years equivalent experience in a related field requiredPre-health career track is strongly preferredGPA > 3.

Benefits:
