General Sales Manager

Riverbend Communications, east Idaho's leading communications company, seeks an experienced General Sales Manager. This exceptional leader is expected to make the desired contribution to the team by successfully leading the sales force in reaching company goals and objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:
o Meets or exceeds all revenue goals
o Has a thorough knowledge of the radio, digital, events, and billboard industry and how they relate to inventory, ratings, research, marketing, demographics and industry software
o Leads the sales team through clear communication; creates a vision and core values; creates and implement strategic sales ideas and plans
o Effectively uses company CRM systems
o Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly
o Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and rates
o Monitors and evaluates the activities of the competition
o Recruits and trains sellers and handles performance evaluations
o Develops new business including NTR, digital, and other non-spot revenue programs
o Conducts sales staff meetings and builds partnerships internally
o Coordinates sales activities with other departments
o Personally handles a select number of accounts
o Works as a coach, leader and problem solver for sales staff
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
o 2 years broadcast sales management experience and 3 years media sales experience
o Experience in all advertising sales: agency and local direct/retail clients
o Exceptional leadership, negotiation, closing, analytical, problem solving, and strategic thinking skills
o Creative, idea-generating, non-transactional sales mentality
o An exceptionally positive attitude with a relentless get it done work ethic
