For the GS-05:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-04 level performing work related to the duties of this position. Examples of work experience that meet this requirement include:
Processing frequently purchased items under established contracts or agreements; using noncompetitive purchasing methods, such as placing orders against single award Federal Supply Schedules or other similar contracts under well-defined and precise procedures and regulations; and/or using credit card accounts to make authorized purchases under a series of well-defined guidelines. OR Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or 4 years of successfully completed education above high school. The education was obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR A combination of successfully completed post-high school education (in excess of the first 60 semester hours) and experience. The education was obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. For the GS-06:
You must have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-05 level performing work related to the duties of this position. Examples of work experience that meet this requirement include:
Making competitive or sole source small purchases and prepared written solicitations using purchasing procedures, and regulations; applying procurement regulations, practices and procedures to resolve a variety of purchasing problems, such as inadequate or restrictive specifications, lack of multiple suppliers, urgent need, and insufficient price history; and/or purchasing a variety of items and services using various established contracts or agreements using automated and manual record keeping systems. There is no substitution of education for the GS-06 level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
